<p>DRAFT MINUTES of the MEETING of SILKSTONE PLAYING FIELDS COMMITTEE held on Monday 10 NOVEMBER 2014 at 7pm.</p><p>PRESENT: Chairman: R Leech (Silkstone PC)</p><p>S Chambers (SUCC), S Fletcher (SUJFC u 11’s), A Horsfield (SUFC), Cllr R Stier (Silkstone PC) and K Taylor (SUCC)</p><p>In attendance: Parish Clerk</p><p>14-22 APOLOGIES</p><p>RESOLVED to note that no apologies had been received. The Clerk was asked to remind Oxspring football team of the importance of sending a representative to these meetings.</p><p>14-23 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST – None</p><p>14-24 MINUTES</p><p>RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the last meeting held on 22 September 14 as a true and accurate record. The minutes were signed by Cllr Leech.</p><p>Matters arising from the minutes:</p><p>RESOLVED that Steve Fletcher will informally speak to Ryan Woods about non payment and lack of paperwork. It was agreed by the Committee that Oxspring should be given until Friday 14 November 14 to forward their cheque otherwise they will not be permitted to continue playing at Silkstone.</p><p>14-25 RECREATION GROUND & GROUNDSMAN</p><p>Grounds man – RESOLVED to note that the Grounds man’s charges will increase by 2% from April 15.</p><p>RESOLVED to note that the Clerk has requested J H Mowers to service the cricket roller before March 15.</p><p>Football teams – see minute 14-14 relating to Oxspring under 15’s.</p><p>Cricket field drainage grant</p><p>RESOLVED to note that a meeting will be arranged to discuss the grant application to Sport England between Parish Council and Cricket Club representatives.</p><p>14-26 PAVILION</p><p> Pavilion football changing room 1 water ingress</p><p>RESOLVED to note that the dehumidifiers will be removed in around a week’s time. The ground floor will then be left to continue to dry naturally until March 15. Should the damp test readings be acceptable in March 15 new flooring will be laid and the walls plastered and painted during March. Servicemaster will continue to regularly monitor the probe readings. The outside building works to the trench are now complete.</p><p>RESOLVED that the Clerk will discuss the damp proofing proposals with Servicemaster and enquire about a DPC product that can be injected into the walls.</p><p>SPFC Minutes 10 Nov 14 Health & Safety</p><p>RESOLVED to note the following comments. The Chairman signed the comments and Health & Safety books.</p><p> o Monthly Legionella inspections are fine o Freezer needs to be removed from ground floor – A Horsfield will arrange o Beer in referees room and fridge from Rock in the Rec on ground floor to be removed by football o Rubbish being left – must be taken away o Roller shutter on rear window not closing properly with main key – users asked to close this roller shutter separately. o Top locks on garage door left unlocked.</p><p>Users asked to leave the alarm off whilst the dehumidifiers are in the building. Once they are removed the Clerk will advise all user groups and the alarm can be set so long as all internal contact doors are closed correctly.</p><p>14-27 PAVILION /RECREATION GROUND BOOKINGS/HIRE </p><p>RESOLVED to note Harriers Dates for 2015 are as follows (user groups asked to note these dates so that no clashes occur) :</p><p>Saturday 21st March Saturday 20th June Saturday 19th September Saturday 5th December</p><p>14-28 ACCOUNTS</p><p> Budget monitor to 15 October14</p><p>RESOLVED to note the receipts and payments and Budget Monitor up to 15 October 14.</p><p>14-29 CORRESPONDENCE - None</p><p>14-30 ANY OTHER PAVILION OR PLAYING FIELDS BUSINESS</p><p>Andy H has sent a thank you letter to the Police for their involvement on the evening of the 2014 Rock in the Rec. The date for 2015 has been confirmed as 4 July.</p><p>Cllr Stier advised that the prickly trees at the boundary with the cow field have been cut back.</p><p>Stephen Chambers advised that he would speak to John Whitmore about taking down the cricket nets.</p><p>Football teams reminded to take home all litter and to ensure that litter is removed from the touchline before leaving site. </p><p>14-31 DATE OF NEXT MEETING : Monday 12 JANUARY 15 at 7pm at the Sports Pavilion. </p><p>The Chairman closed the meeting at 7.45 pm Signed by the Chairman</p><p>SPFC Minutes 10 Nov 14</p>
