Review warm up question 2. Video: Characteristics of Life 3. Brainstorm characteristics of life together with class 4. Notes: Chapter 1 PPT-Themes of biology and the characteristics of life-GRROUCH 5. Activity: Read directions to class; show where materials are 6. Explain class procedures-return all materials, clean tables and put stools under benches before returning to their seats. 7. Students work in pairs and in teams at the lab benches.</p><p>8. Visit each table and help students who struggle with the task and finding analogies for each of the characteristics.</p><p>Assessment/ Each pair of students explain their analogies to the other pair of Other Resources students at the tables and to the class if time.
