<p>Dear Parents/Students:</p><p>I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to a new academic year at RAIS. I’m very pleased to introduce myself to you as the new science teacher. My name is Samar Alsudir, from Saudi Arabia. I have a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Carleton University in Canada. I’m looking forward to getting to know you throughout the year. My goal is to continue to provide the intense learning that every student deserves and I will do my best to help make this year a positive experience for YOU. </p><p>Here are some tips for students to follow:</p><p>1- Check the Grade5website daily for lessons’ summary, assignments, and tests. Please follow the link http://www.grade5rais.com.</p><p>2- Make sure to bring your book, notebook, and pencil case with you to class. </p><p>3- Turn in assignments in a daily basis if assigned. Assignments will be checked and graded.</p><p>4- Random quizzes will be given in class to ensure that students understand the concepts and the skills taught.</p><p>5- A test will be given at the end of each chapter (a notice will be given a week in advance).</p><p>6- A few projects will be acquired during the year. Projects will be completed either as groups or individually. </p><p>7- Come to class with a great attitude and willingness to learn.</p><p>Hope you have a great and successful year!
