<p>STUDENT VLOGS Alisha Y.</p><p>Hey my name’s Alisha and I am studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences and International Development in the Melbourne campus at La Trobe University. So today it’s my first, very first vlog, I’d just like to run through a little intro. Hi, nice to meet you. I’m Alisha, I’m 20 years old and I love to travel, read books and hang out with friends.</p><p>I graduated high school in 2010 and um, straight away I knew that I wanted to go to university after that. I didn’t want to take a gap year, I was scared that I would not ever go back to study. Now that we’re a little bit more well acquainted, I’ll tell you the story of how I came to be in my course.</p><p>So um, I went straight into a Bachelor of Health Sciences, just a single degree and I really enjoyed that. Um, but I figured by the middle of the year that I wanted to combine it to make it a double degree to challenge myself further. I’m in my fourth and final year so after this degree is complete I’d really love to travel and help people in need; help build homes, get access to safe drinking water and just try and make the world a more better and equal place.</p><p>How I came to choose my course was through a lot of research and going to universities. So I went to all the university Open Days that were held throughout August and I also went to La Trobe’s Experience Day and that was a really great day for me to um, get a feel of how it was to be a university student for a day. Experience, this year is held on April 11th and it’s a great day to just be a university student for a day, so you come on campus and we treat you to food. I think I remember going to like two Experience days when I was in high school. I just I loved them so much. Um, so thank-you so much for watching today, hope you got some useful tips out of it.
