<p> PERMANENT COUNCIL</p><p>OEA/Ser.G CP/RES. 1049 (2017/15) 20 May 2015 Original: Spanish</p><p>CP/RES. 1049 (2017/15)</p><p>PLACE AND DATE OF THE TENTH MEETING OF MINISTERS OF JUSTICE OR OF OTHER MINISTERS OR ATTORNEYS GENERAL OF THE AMERICAS (REMJA-X)</p><p>(Adopted by the Permanent Council at the meeting held on May 20, 2015)</p><p>THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES,</p><p>CONSIDERING:</p><p>That in resolution AG/RES. 2844 (XLIV-O/14), the General Assembly instructed the Permanent Council, in keeping with the Document of Washington, to convene REMJA-X in due course;</p><p>That Provision No. 5 of the Document of Washington establishes that the General Assembly or, failing that, the Permanent Council of the OAS, by resolution shall formally convene each of the REMJA meetings and shall decide on its place and date; and</p><p>That the Permanent Mission of Colombia, via Note No. 1814/2014 of December 17, 2014, advised of that country's offer to host the Tenth Meeting of Ministers of Justice or of Other Ministers or Attorneys General of the Americas (REMJA-X), which is expected to be held in the second half of 2015,</p><p>RESOLVES:</p><p>1. To accept with gratitude the offer of the Government of Colombia to host the Tenth Meeting of Ministers of Justice or of Other Ministers or Attorneys General of the Americas (REMJA-X).</p><p>2. To decide that the Tenth Meeting of Ministers of Justice or of Other Ministers or Attorneys General of the Americas (REMJA-X) will be held in Bogotá, Colombia, from October 15- 16, 2015, according to the funds allocated in the program-budget of the Organization for 2015 and other resources. </p><p>3. To request the General Secretariat to provide, through the Department of Legal Cooperation of the Secretariat for Legal Affairs in its capacity as technical secretariat for the REMJA meetings and in coordination with Colombia as the host country, the technical support needed to prepare for and hold REMJA-X, in keeping with the provisions of the “Document of Washington.” 2</p><p>02f71cf22d41569da9b42a6010363587.doc</p>
