<p> Winter Johnson Group to Complete First Two Task Orders of Noise Insulation Program</p><p>ATLANTA, (January 27, 2014)</p><p>City of Atlanta’s Department of Aviation awarded Winter Johnson Group the Noise Insulation Program (NIP) Task Orders 1 and 2. For 20 months after the projects begin, Winter Johnson Group’s experienced project team will manage the replacement of doors and windows in a total of 680 units in two multi-family complexes and 9 single family residences.</p><p>In January 2013, Winter Johnson Group was selected as one of four contractors with the opportunity to complete the Atlanta Department of Aviation (DOA) Noise Insulation Program.</p><p>Through funding from the Federal Aviation Administration, the city’s Noise Insulation Program works to mitigate noise pollution in the designated flight paths surrounding the expanding Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Residences and businesses that fall within the Federal Aviation Association (FAA) noise contours (as seen on the attached map) are eligible for insulation upgrades under the Noise Insulation Program, and work on these eligible buildings is divided into task orders issued by the DOA for the four selected contractors to submit bids.
