What do we say to ourselves that holds us back? (30 minutes) o Discuss: confidence, self-esteem ect. o WORKSHEET – Negative self-talk into positive self-talk</p><p>(Recess)</p><p>Session 3 (P4) How to present yourself assertively (30 minutes) o Watch "Be bossy" YouTube clip o Dress and Body language (images as discussion point) o Language and actions (How to)</p><p>Session 4 (P4 - P5) Dealing with conflict: “ The only person’s behaviour you can control is your own” (1 hour) o Discuss: The only persons behaviour you can control is your own o Which response should you choose – passive, assertive or aggressive o Friends Year 10 Girls Forum</p><p> o Parents (scenarios) o Dealing with boys (scenarios) o In relationships (scenarios)</p><p>Session 5 (P5) Peer Mediation: How to help your friends solve their problems before they get bigger (30 minutes)</p><p> o Why use peer mediation and why are we teaching it as a skill? o Peer Mediation ‘How to’ sheet to teach the girls what peer mediation looks like o Scenarios given for the girls to roll play and practice skills on</p><p>(Lunch)</p><p>Session 6 (P6) Q&A o Box accessible throughout the day along with cards for the girls to write questions onto as they come up. Encourage girls to write group number on their question cards</p><p>TRANSITION SONGS - Who run the world – girls!
