Oh, just about anything…</p><p>Camtasia Studio is a simple, flexible software package that allows you to create great screencasts in three simple steps:</p><p>Record, Edit and Share</p><p>With Camtasia Studio’s flexible recording options, you can choose to capture full screen, window or region of what you want to record. Add in music tracks, microphone, your computer’s audio, plus picture-in-picture with your video camera and you’ve got a world-class screencast suitable for training, education lessons, or personal videos. that lets you do all of the normal video editing tasks like adding captions, transitions and effects. Its clever feature is that it includes a screen recording function that allows you to capture footage from your desktop. You can use this in a variety of ways, to grab footage from a webcam for example, or you can record your on-screen actions to make a training video or student lessons.</p><p>Camtasia also has a PowerPoint plug-in, which is a toolbar inside of PowerPoint that makes it as easy as one-click to record your presentations, either live or from your desk. </p><p>In recording mode you can also choose to capture the whole screen or just a portion of it. Camtasia puts guide marks on the display so that you know exactly what you’re getting. You can choose to record audio at the same time. Once you’ve finished recording the footage is transferred to the editing part of the package.</p><p>In the editor there are several options you can choose to enhance the professional polish of your video content. These features include:  SmartFocus: TechSmith’s exclusive SmartFocus technology keeps track of where the action happens during your recording, then produces a video that zooms in on the parts you need to show. You can also edit these zooms and pans to highlight any portion of the content you want. </p><p> Callouts, cursor effects, title clips and transitions: are all additional features that you can add to your project to enhance the viewers experience and add impact. </p><p> Camtasia Studio also features Captioning through speech –to-text. This means that Camtasia can automatically transcribe your video’s audio file into open or closed captions.
