<p> REGULAR MEETING July 1, 2015</p><p>The Board of Commissioners for the Lafourche Basin Levee </p><p>District met this day in regular session at its official domicile at 21380 Hwy. 20 in Vacherie, Louisiana and was called to order by its President Robert LeBlanc at 6:00 pm.</p><p>Present: COMMISSIONERS…, Stanley Folse, St. James Parish; Vice-</p><p>President, Michael McKinney, Sr., Ascension Parish; Whitney Jasmin, </p><p>Jr., St. John Baptist Parish; Wayne Waguespack, St. James Parish; </p><p>President, Robert LeBlanc, Assumption Parish; James Jasmin, St. James </p><p>Parish; Russell Loupe, St. Charles Parish; Leonce Carmouche, </p><p>Assumption Parish and Eric Matherne; St. Charles Parish were present. </p><p>Joseph Dantin, St. Charles Parish; and Marlin Rogers, St. Charles </p><p>Parish were absent.</p><p>A quorum was present to conduct business.</p><p>Randy Trosclair, Executive Director; Kristi Vicknair, Administrative Assistant 5, and Ivy Chauvin, Assistant Director were present </p><p>Messrs. Larry Buquoi, Attorney was absent.</p><p>The meeting opened with a prayer and the pledge of allegiance to the flag.</p><p>There were no audience comments in reference to agenda items. </p><p>On motion of Commissioner Folse, seconded by Commissioner Waguespack, and unanimously approved, the minutes of the Regular meeting of June 3, </p><p>2015 be accepted and filed in the minutes of the Board.</p><p>On motion of Commissioner Carmouche, seconded by Commissioner </p><p>Waguespack, and unanimously approved, the following report of cash available for distribution of the month of May 31, 2015 be accepted and filed in the minutes of the Board.</p><p>FIRST AMERICAN BANK: Checking account balance May 31, 2015 $ 1,859,889.63</p><p>Deposits: Revenues/Refund 30,000.44 Matured D-Notes 184,959.25 Interest on Checking 55.60 Funds Transferred In 1,205.28 </p><p>Cash Disbursements: Operating Expenses 237,882.65 Purchased D-Notes 780,199.42 Funds Transferred Out 400,058.77 Total Disbursements/Transfers Out $ 1,205.28</p><p>INVESTMENTS: Discount Notes $11,182,321.70</p><p>FIRST AMERICAN BANK BALANCE June 30, 2015 $12,239,144.55</p><p>The foregoing resolution was read in full and adopted by the following votes:</p><p>YEAS: 9 NAYS: 0 ABSTAINED: 0 ABSENT: 2</p><p>BE IT RESOLVED, that the following millage(s) are hereby levied on the 2015 tax toll on all property subject to taxation by the Assessing District be granted.</p><p>Operations & Maintenance MILLAGE 3.88</p><p>BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper administrative officials of the Parishes of Ascension, Assumption, St. Charles, St. James and St. John the Baptist, State of Louisiana, be and they are hereby empowered, authorized and directed to spread said taxes, as hereinabove set forth, upon the assessment roll of said Parishes for the year 2015, and to make the collection of the taxes imposed for and on behalf of the taxing authority, according to law, and that the taxes herein levied shall become a permanent lien and privileged on all property subject to taxation as herein set forth, and collection thereof shall be enforceable in the manner provided by law.</p><p>On motion of Commissioner Carmouche, seconded by Commissioner</p><p>Whitney Jasmin, the following resolution was proposed and unanimously adopted.</p><p>Dear Sir:</p><p>You are hereby informed that the Board of Commissioners for the Lafourche Basin Levee District will meet to open sealed bids for one (1) new 2016 Ford F350 4X2 Chassis Cab or equivalent make and model, one (1) new 2016 Ford XL 4X4 or equivalent make and model, and one new (1) 2016 Ford Expedition or equivalent make and model at its official domicile at 21380 Highway 20, Vacherie, Louisiana on Wednesday June 17, 2015 at 11:00 Bond: $1,600.00 Warranty: Included Delivery Date: 60 to 90 days $31,600.00</p><p>Barbera, Napoleonville, LA One new 2015 Chevrolet 1 Ton Regular Chassis Cab 4X2 Bid Bond: $1,720.00 Warranty Included Delivery Date: Immediately $34,399.00</p><p>BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners award the bid to Cazenave Motor Company, in the amount of $31,600.00 for one (1) new 2016 Ford F350 4X2 Chassis Cab, be granted.</p><p>The seal bids for one (1) new 2016 Ford XL 4X4 or equivalent were opened at the pre-bid meeting June 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. and the following are the results:</p><p>TWO Michael DeFalco, CPA, with Broussard & Company present the annual audit result to the Board.</p><p>Mr. O’Neil Malbrough with CB&I gave an update on the status of the Lafourche Basin Levee District Hurricane Protection Project.</p><p>Mark Roberts with Burk-Kleinpeters gave an update on the Willow Ridge and Ellington project. </p><p>Commissioner Loupe made a motion to adjourn and Commissioner
