Superintendent</p><p>September 27, 2013</p><p>From the Superintendent of Schools,</p><p>This letter is to notify you that today we implemented our system emergency protocol as a precaution. We received information from local law enforcement that they were investigating a perceived threat in the local community. Schools were not mentioned in this perceived threat. However, as a precaution, we did implement our emergency procedures after speaking with law enforcement, and operated under a heightened sense of alert for a portion of the day. We were notified at 12:35 p.m. by law enforcement that we were clear to return to normal operational procedures. </p><p>As always, the safety and security of our schools is our top priority. </p><p>Sincerely,</p><p>Steve B.
