Dear Director Berlin

Dear Director Berlin

From: Lawson, Bennett Sent: Wednesday, November 02, 2016 3:33 PM To: Berlin, Steve Subject: Ethics Disclosure for Ald. Tunney

November 2, 2016

Dear Director Berlin,

Please be advised that Alderman Tunney purchased tickets at face value, offered by the Chicago Cubs, and attended post-season games at Wrigley Field on October 7, October 8, October 15, October 16 and October 22, 2016.

Alderman Tunney works in his official capacity during most post-season games outside of the ballpark but also attended in person to observe the situation inside Wrigley Field. In addition to enjoying the games, his attendance was also a gesture of good will and in connection with his ongoing relationship with the team and community leaders. It is our understanding that he can accept face value tickets to these games in the 44th Ward as a reasonable hosting expense offered by the Cubs, who are of course the sponsor of the events.

For the record, Alderman Tunney did not attend any of the World Series games played at Wrigley Field.

Thank you for all you do for us in 44. Please let me know if the Board of Ethics requires any additional information.

Sincerely,

Bennett R. Lawson Chief of Staff to Alderman Tom Tunney
