<p>Venus retrograde and the pentagram. </p><p>Many years ago while studying history I learnt a large percentage of the Sumerian inscriptions were astrological prophecies: “After five rounds of Venus, when she comes back on her starting point then King X should not go to war because he will perish in a hurricane.” Astrologers in those times had the highest places in court. Since then I have always been wondering about the meaning of this cycle. This eight year cycle shows Venus, which retrogrades five times, returning to its original position on the sixth retrograde, only to begin a next cycle. The old inscriptions link this Venus retrograde cycle with (Plutonic) politics and war, mainly a man’s affair. Venus direct is mundane. Venus retrograde becomes cosmic and divine and she will meet her cosmic antagonist, Pluto. This means divine female energies penetrating politics and collective consciousness. A goddess warning not to go to war. </p><p>Trying to understand this cycle I mapped out the retrogrades from 2001 until 2009 and an astonishing picture appeared. I connected the midpoints of all Venus retrogrades starting out from the midpoint 9.05 Aries and ending eight years later on midpoint 7.20 Aries. </p><p>As a result a pentagram popped up, generally considered as the symbol of anarchists. Meditating on this picture I concluded this cycle means complete and unconditional freedom in harmony with the macro cosmos rather than the human made laws, being controlling and repressing.</p><p>The counterpart of Venus in its earthly polarities inspired by Plutonic forces pictures anarchists as bomb throwing men wearing black leather jackets indulging in sabotaging society, assassinating high officials and blowing up buildings. How Plutonic. Nothing however is a bigger lie. According to Venus retrograde this symbol means a loving, freedom seeking principle that prevails above written laws. If you are able to live this way you sure need a divine heart and a divine judgement. </p><p>The pentagram is the symbol of human individuality. The human body exactly fits in. It was emanated from the eight year Venus retrograde cycle. In the Tarot it is connected to the Grand Arcana card V, The Hierophant. A priest(ess) both male and female teaching the wild beasts. When Venus goes retrograde and becomes divine she enters the field of man (politics) shaking of her submissive mundane Eve identity and teaching them.</p><p>From 1913 the eight year Venus retrograde cycle beginning in Aries matches the American Presidential inaugurations. From that time on it became common to re-elect a President after his first turn making the American Presidential cycle match the Venus retrograde cycle. Not much after the elections Venus goes retrograde in Aries. That is not by accident, that is because since then America became the superpower of the world and the American President the new Pharao. In October and November 2010 Venus again goes retrograde. We only can guess the implications since the original meaning of the Venus retrograde cycle is forgotten. Let us check it out. In November new elections will take place and let us hope this Venus retrograde position is a good omen for the inner peace of political America and with that for the world peace. Note that Venus will end this retrograde period in Libra, the sign op peace and cooperation.</p>
