<p> ST. MARTIN OF TOURS CATHOLIC CHURCH Altar Society Minutes September 12, 2016</p><p>ATTENDANCE: Father James, Cindy Calicchio, Geraldine Koller, Sherri Guerra, Myra Thomas, Deborah Lacy, LaClaire Lane, Judy Trevino, Sharon Kuver , Paula Pokladnik, Dolly Mzyk, and Teresa Paterka. PRAYER: Father James led the opening prayer. MINUTES: Judy Trevino made the motion to approve the minutes and Paula Pokladnik seconded. All were in favor. Motion passed. FINANCIAL REPORT: Geraldine Koller reported the Altar Society balance was $3,344.48 August 31, 2016. REPORT OF STANDING COMMITTEES: Membership and Publicity: No Report SACRISTAN: Members will wash and pack the deacons vestments until we are appointed a new one. Paula Pokladnik offered to take over the cleaning of the Altar Servers albs as needed. Sherri Guerra will be her back up. STANDING PROJECTS: No Report ALTAR AND SANTUARY: The new cloth for the altar arrived and looks much better than the shorter one. Father James asked if we had a bookstand for him to put the book on during Mass. The committee will look into purchasing one if the ones we have now can’t be found or used. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Women’s Day of Reflection: Will be held Sept. 24th in Building 3. It will begin with Mass at 9:00am, followed by breakfast, a speaker and end with lunch. Members need to sign up for breakfast items. Lunch roll up will be purchased. We will need a final count by Sept. 19th so the correct amount of food can be ordered. For breakfast we will serve rolls, fruit, pastries, orange juice and coffee. For lunch we will have vegetable trays, fruit trays, turkey and chicken rollups and tea. NEW BUSINESS:</p><p>Fund Raiser: Judy Trevino and Dolly Myzk will look at various fund raisers and present options for us to do at our next meeting.</p><p>125th Anniversary Dinner: We will provide a basket of goodies for a drawing at the dinner. The Knights of Columbus will also give us money to make one for them.</p><p>Fall Festival: We will be doing the Sweet Shoppe again this year. A signup sheet was passed around for volunteers to sign. All members are encouraged to bring sweets to sell.</p><p>Bylaws: Our Bylaws state that there will be a Mass in September for all past and present members of St. Martin of Tours Altar Society and Mass will be said for the deceased of the immediate family members in good standing of the Altar Society. Fr. James will pray for these at out Women’s Day of Reflection Mass. </p><p>Date Change: Our meetings will change from the 1st Monday to the 1st Thursday of the month in the Parish Hall so Fr. James will be able to attend.</p><p>Father James led the closing prayers.</p><p>Meeting Adjourned.</p><p>Next Meeting: Thursday, October 6th at 6:30 PM beginning with pot luck dinner. This will be held in the Maloney Building because of the Fall Festival setup in the Hall.</p>
