<p> JACKSON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT</p><p>R E S O L U T I O N</p><p>WHEREAS, Sue Cates, Elementary Teacher at St. Martin North Elementary School, is retiring following twenty-five years of dedicated service to the education of young students, all of which were at St. Martin North Elementary, and;</p><p>WHEREAS, she has used her knowledge and skills to challenge students to reach their highest levels of abilities, and helped them develop socially and emotionally, and;</p><p>WHEREAS, she has encouraged students to exhibit good citizenship and develop a sense of right and wrong and take pride in who they are, and;</p><p>WHEREAS, she was voted the 1991-1992 St. Martin North Teacher of the Year by her peers, and the annual dedications were in her honor in 1984-1985 and 1992-1993, and;</p><p>WHEREAS, she has served as St. Martin North P.T. O. President, the Annual Sponsor, and Coordinator of the Awards’ Day Ceremonies, and;</p><p>WHEREAS, she planned and organized the Spring Carnival for our students and their parents, and;</p><p>WHEREAS, she served as Grand Marshal of the 2005 Krewe of Kindergarten Mardi Gras parade, and;</p><p>WHEREAS, she had volunteered her husband to remodel and build a new office for St. Martin North, and;</p><p>WHEREAS, she has performed her responsibilities with the utmost professionalism, dedication, and compassion, and;</p><p>WHEREAS, her integrity, sincerity, sense of humor, and cooperative spirit will be missed.</p><p>NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Jackson County Board of Education joins with the District Administration, School Administration, the staff, and students in offering our sincere appreciation and commendation for these twenty-five years of dedicated service, and;</p><p>BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we join her family and many friends in wishing her a most happy and productive time of retirement from her chosen profession in education.</p><p>DONE BY ORDER OF THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, this the twenty-fifth day of May, in the year two thousand and five, A.D.</p><p>Jackson County Board of Education</p><p>______Kenneth A.
