<p> COMMUNITY PARTNERS OF THE MIDLANDS, LLC</p><p>Date Posted: November 13, 2015 Closing Date: November 20, 2015 Position Title: Part-time Optometrist Supervisor: Clinic Director</p><p>Start Date: Immediately Position Status: Regular, Part-Time Job Classification: Exempt In compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, this position is classified as an exempt position and the employee is not eligible for overtime.</p><p>POSITION OVERVIEW Responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to uninsured and underinsured adults in Richland, Lexington and Fairfield Counties. Must have thorough skills and knowledge in the use of diagnostic devices. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES  Provide primary eye care. </p><p> Examine patients’ eyes to diagnose vision problems, eye diseases, test patients’ visual acuity, depth and color perception, and ability to focus and coordinate the eyes. </p><p> Prescribe eyeglasses as needed.</p><p> Diagnose and treat ocular pathology as well as identifying systemic diseases that will need to be treated by other health care practitioners.</p><p> Provide preoperative and postoperative care to cataract patients, as well as to patients who have had laser vision correction or other eye surgery.</p><p>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
