In the Information Science and Systems Laboratory, one of our areas of focus is sensor data processing and analysis. I will provide an overview of our work in detection, segmentation, and recognition of 2D and 3D objects in EO/IR video and real-time LIDAR data streams, including applications for unmanned airborne systems.

BIOGRAPHY: Yuri Owechko is a Principal Research Scientist in the Information and Systems Sciences Laboratory of HRL Laboratories, LLC with over 25 years of experience in pattern recognition, signal processing, and learning algorithms for analysis and extraction of information from sensor signals. He has performed research on multiple DARPA projects, including optical neural networks, 3D LIDAR object recognition, and knowledge-enhanced compressive sensing and has over 80 technical publications and 42 issued patents.

For additional info contact Prof. YangQuan Chen: [email protected]
