<p> Coastal Bend Chapter T.A.P.T.</p><p>Scholarship Application</p><p>The Coastal Bend Chapter Scholarship is administered and awarded by the Coastal Bend Chapter, Texas Association of Pupil Transportation (TAPT).</p><p>The scholarship provides a one time grant, amount to be determined by the Scholarship Committee, for a selected applicant or applicants for either an approved two-year or four-year program resulting in a vocational or academic degree.</p><p>ELIGIBILITY:</p><p>A senior of an accredited Texas High School or a student currently enrolled in a vocational program, college or university. Applicant must be eligible for admission in a selected educational institution or currently attending an institution of higher learning. Applicant must be an immediate family member, son, daughter or grandchild, of an individual involved in the transportation of students in the Coastal Bend Chapter area.</p><p>SELECTION:</p><p>The Coastal Bend Scholarship Committee will choose the scholarship recipient or recipients from written applications and possible interviews. The selection committee shall consist of Coastal Bend Chapter Members as appointed by the Executive Committee of the Coastal Bend Chapter.</p><p>APPLICATION:</p><p>Written application must be submitted to the committee by April 15, 2012. The application must include, as a minimum the following:</p><p> a. Applicant’s name, Address, phone number and e-mail address (if available). b. Name of High School from which the applicant graduated/or will graduate. c. Educational institution which applicant wishes to attend or is currently attending. d. A written statement of the education goals and objectives of the applicant. e. A written statement of the applicant’s outside activities and service. f. A written from the applicant’s high school counselor or college advisor/instructor as to a appropriateness of the applicant’s character and the ability to obtain his/her educational goals. g. A written statement from a Coastal Bend Chapter Member, who is not related to the applicant. Statement of the applicant’s personal character is preferred but not required.</p><p>The completed application should be mailed to Coastal Bend Chapter TAPT, Linda Madden, 4205 Wildcat Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.</p>
