Sand lightly between coats. Trace on the Pattern.</p><p>Shade the upper corners softly with Khaki Tan,</p><p>Shade behind the objects with a soft float of Driftwood.</p><p>Painting Instructions:</p><p>1. Shelf-</p><p>Basecoat the shelf with one thin coat of Burnt Umber. </p><p>Shade the top edge, next to the cloth , and under the knife handle with Burnt Umber.</p><p>2. Cloth-</p><p>Basecoat the cloth with Light Buttermilk. Shade the top edge with Driftwood. </p><p>The plaid lines are Terra Coral.</p><p>Shade in the fold of the cloth and under the objects with soft floats of Driftwood. Highlight the rising sections, the outer edges, and the lower right corner with Snow White.</p><p>3. Vase-</p><p>Basecoat the vase with Deep Midnight Blue. The wiggly lines are Snow White.</p><p>The top edge line is Payne's Grey. </p><p>Shade the sides and bottom with floats of Payne's Grey.</p><p>Highlight with a soft mopped highlight of Snow White. Add shine lines with fine lines of Snow White.</p><p>4. Bread Board-</p><p>Basecoat the board with Raw Sienna.</p><p>Shade the right side of the board with a mix of Raw Sienna and Espresso</p><p>The top left side of the board is a mix of Raw Sienna and Light Buttermilk </p><p>Outline the edges with Espresso</p><p>The cut edges are Raw Sienna, shaded slightly with Espresso and highlighted on the front edge with the light mix.</p><p>Shade under the objects with floats of Espresso.</p><p>5. Rye Bread-</p><p>The bread is a brush mix of Khaki Tan and Light Buttermilk. The openings and dots are Khaki Tan.</p><p>Shade next to the crust with a soft float of Khaki Tan, and highlight the middle with Light Buttermilk.</p><p>The crust is Cocoa, shaded with Burnt Sienna. Highlight with touches of True Ochre and then with Yellow Ochre. </p><p>6. Milk Bottle-</p><p>The milk is Light Buttermilk</p><p>The bottle is a sheer wash of Snow White. Reinforce the edges with side load floats of Snow White.</p><p>Shade under the rim, along the sides of the bottle, at the bottom, and next to the bowl with sheer floats of Deep Midnight Blue.</p><p>The highlight areas are mopped highlights of Snow White with additional shine lines of Snow White.</p><p>7. Knife-</p><p>The handle is Deep Midnight Blue shaded with Payne's Grey and highlighted with a brush mix of Deep Midnight Blue and a touch of Snow White.</p><p>The blade is Grey Sky, shaded with Payne's Grey and highlighted with Snow White.</p><p>The edge going into the handle is Grey Sky and a touch of Snow White.</p><p>The shine lines on the blade are Snow White.</p><p>The screws are a mix of Payne's Grey and Grey Sky. Shaded with Payne's Grey and Highlighted with Grey Sky. </p><p>8. Wheat and Berries-</p><p>The berry stems are Burnt Umber. The berries are dots of Gingerbread with highlight dots of Tangerine.</p><p>The wheat sheaves are stems of Cocoa . The wheat pods are small strokes of a double load of Cocoa and Sand. Coming from these pods are fine lines of Cocoa, Yellow Ochre, True Ochre, Light Buttermilk, and Sand. </p><p>9. Bowl--</p><p>Basecoat the Bowl with Sand. Shade the sides and bottom with floats of Cocoa. Shade the inside with a mix of Cocoa and Espresso.</p><p>The lines are Gingerbread.</p><p>Shade again with soft floats of Espresso. Highlight with Light Buttermilk.</p><p>The spoon handle is Espresso, shaded with Payne's Grey and highlight with Cocoa and a touch of Sand. 10. Eggs-</p><p>The eggs are Bleached Sand shaded with khaki Tan, and highlighted with Light Buttermilk</p><p>The shine area is Snow White.</p><p>The shadows under are Driftwood.</p><p>11. Set Back Shadows--</p><p>Softly separate the objects with soft sheer floats of a mix of Payne's Grey and Burnt Umber.</p><p>12. Lettering-</p><p>The lettering is a brush mix of Deep Midnight Blue and a touch of Payne's Grey. ( or color of your choice)</p><p>The corner lines are Terra Coral. </p><p>Allow the painting to dry thoroughly. Erase any visible tracing lines. Varnish with three coats of your favorite satin acrylic varnish. Allow the varnish to cure 24 hours between coats.</p><p>Thank you,</p><p>Judy Diephouse</p>
