<p>State of Connecticut Core-CT Project</p><p>Application: HRMS Module: Payroll Business Process: Manage Adjustment Processing Requirement Number: PY551 Requirement Title: Ability to make year to date adjustments on an employees earnings, deductions and taxes</p><p>Module Leads: Nancy Ribes, Josh Woodrum</p><p>1. Requirement Description Describe the requirement (gap). Include a description of the delivered PeopleSoft functionality. Currently, the agencies are responsible for recovering money owed to them by the employee. These recoveries are not processed through the payroll, and, therefore, need to be put into the system as year to date adjustments.</p><p>2. Business Need Provide a justification for the requirement. Include information about frequency, volume, number of users impacted, etc. Currently the State of Connecticut averages approximately 150 employee adjustments on a biweekly pay period.</p><p>3. Organizational Impact of Recommendation Describe the changes to the organization that result from the recommended solution. Include a description of impacts and benefits of each solution.</p><p>Option 1. Peoplesoft delivers several pages where year to date adjustments can be made. The adjustment amounts would need to be manually calculated and then entered into the pages.</p><p>Option 2.</p><p>Option 3.</p><p>9. Application Modifications Describe the possible Application Modifications. Include a description of impacts and benefits of each solution.</p><p>Option 1. Modification Type (On-line, Batch, Interface, Report, Workflow): Complexity (Easy, Medium, Difficult): Description: Peoplesoft provides earnings codes to adjust YTD balances, earnings codes would need to be configured that fit the State’s needs. For example, they would need one that was not eligible for retirement and another that was eligible for retirement – these earnings codes would not affect gross but would be put on the employees paycheck to adjust YTD balances.</p><p>Option 2. Modification Type (On-line, Batch, Interface, Report, Workflow): On-line Complexity (Easy, Medium, Difficult): Description: : Peoplesoft provides the functionality to adjust YTD balances. However, the volume of these adjustments average approximately 150 on a biweekly pay period.
