<p> Thames Traditional Boat Rally 2013</p><p>BRIEFING FOR ALL TVBC MEMBERS</p><p>Welcome to the 2013 Trad Rally! Please note the following:</p><p>TVBC SAIL-PASTS Our TVBC Club sail-pasts are always one of the major spectacles of the Trad Boat Rally. To continue in this tradition, we ask every TVBC boat owner at the Rally to please take part. It would be great if we could get every single TVBC boat out there in a magnificent display on both days!</p><p>Saturday: The TVBC sail-past is at 3.30pm. Cast off by 2.50pm and proceed downriver to assemble by 3.15pm just below Temple Island to wait for ‘Fixitor’, the Lead Boat. The sail-past will start from Temple Island at 3.25pm sharp. </p><p>Sunday: The TVBC sail-past is at 3pm. Cast off by 2.20pm and proceed downriver to assemble by 2.45pm just below Temple Island to wait for ‘Knight Errant’, the Lead Boat. The sail-past will start from Temple Island at 2.55pm sharp.</p><p>Further details about these sail-pasts can be obtained from the TVBC tent.</p><p>For both TVBC sail-pasts please make sure you are displaying the Club Burgee - on sale at the TVBC tent if you need one - as well as your Rally number.</p><p>The Queen’s Jubilee pageant sail-pasts These will start at 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday for all boats that took part in the pageant in June last year - two more opportunities to fly the pageant flag and TVBC burgee! If you took part in the pageant last year, please could you also take part in these special sail-pasts to represent our club. Further details can be obtained from the admin tent and the Rally programme. </p><p>The Illuminated Parade This will take place on Saturday evening and skippers will be briefed at 8pm. Thames Traditional Boat Rally 2013</p><p>The TVBC Stand We need volunteers to man the TVBC tent for one hour periods. Please call in at the tent to go on the rota. We need your help! It is a pleasant chore! A range of branded TVBC clothing and the club’s burgee are on sale in the tent. </p><p>SUNDAY- 30 th ANNIVERSARY TVBC BARBECUE All club members and guests are invited to this special anniversary TVBC BBQ, starting at 7 pm at the club’s gazebos in the camping field. Please bring your own food, drink, chairs and tables. Equipment and fuel will be provided. (NB: All barbecue units must be raised at least 24 inches above the grass and be positioned a minimum 60 ft from the river.) </p><p>MONDAY - TVBC Upriver Cruise If you would like to join our informal upriver cruise on Monday after the Rally, please add your name and the name of your vessel to the list in the TVBC tent. </p><p>We hope you have a very enjoyable time and look forward to meeting you!</p><p>The TVBC Committee.</p>
