<p>St. David’s School of Nursing – Laptop Inspection and Requirements </p><p>Laptop Inspection All incoming nursing students are required to have a laptop for the duration of the nursing program; passing a laptop inspection is a condition of your admission. To ensure your laptop meets our technology requirements, you are to have your laptop inspected by IT Assistance Center (ITAC) in either San Marcos or at the Nursing Building in Round Rock. Your window to complete this inspection begins on Monday, June 8th and ends on Wednesday, August 19th 2015. When you have your inspection, you will be given your Student Computer Inspection Report. This document is also attached so that you are aware of the requirements for laptops.</p><p>It is the School of Nursing’s expectation that on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at New Student Orientation – your laptop has passed inspection and you will be a full participant (with your laptop) in the technology presentation facilitated by Dr. Covington, SON Faculty and Eli Soto, Users Services Consultant.</p><p>It may be necessary for you to have more than one inspection if your computer has deficiencies. If you are required to get more than one inspection you may get it at either location as long as you have your Inspection Report. When your laptop passes all of the requirements – your inspector will keep your completed Student Computer Inspection Report and forward it to the SON. </p><p>Round Rock Inspection Site  By appointment only, please contact Eli Soto 512.716.4646 to schedule an appointment, alternatively you may request an inspection by Email [email protected].  ITAC at the Nursing Building is in room 358 on the third floor. o 1555 University Avenue, Round Rock, TX 78665 o http://www.rrhec.txstate.edu/about/sites.html  Take the elevator to the third floor; you are to use the phone in the Study Lounge on the third floor, room 304 to call and notify Eli (ITAC) that you are present.  Inspections can take up to 30 minutes.  Your computer will be inspected while you wait.  It is best you come to this appointment alone. Please do not bring children or friends to this appointment. If you are late for your appointment, you will need to reschedule.</p><p>San Marcos Inspection Site ITAC Texas State University in San Marcos, TX 78666 – 512.245.4822 MCS - Math Computer Science Building (Room 263) http://www.maps.txstate.edu/campus/buildings/mcs.html  ITAC Walk-In hours are M-F 7:30AM until 6:00PM.  The inspection may be completed while you wait or may require that your computer be dropped off.
