<p> City of Yellowknife Public Works Department Box 580, Yellowknife, NT X1A 2N4 Phone: (867) 766-5511 Fax: (867) 669-3421 Email: [email protected] RESIDENTIAL LARGE ITEM PICK UP – WEEK OF May 14th to May 18th, 2018</p><p>If you have large items you are unable to deliver to the City’s landfill site and participate in the Curbside Cart program, please email, fax or drop off the completed form to the City of Yellowknife no later than Friday, May 11th, 2018 @ 12:00 pm (Noon). The City will arrange for the collection of the accepted items at no cost for participants of the Curbside Cart program only. Without this information, waste will not be collected. The City can not accept any requests made after this deadline. If your items are not out by 7:00 am on collection day noted below, we will not come back. </p><p>Please note: Kam Lake is zoned ‘Industrial’ and apartments and condos are ruled as ‘Associations’ will also not be included in the Residential Large Item Pick-Up program.</p><p>PICK UP DAYS COLLECTION AREA Monday Frame Lake South area Tuesday Range Lake North, Northland Trailer Park areas Wednesday Central Business District, School Draw, Forrest Drive, Taylor Road, Matonabee Street, Rycon Drive & Con Road areas Thursday Old Town, Latham Island and Niven Lake areas *The City does not do individual pick-ups in N’dilo – for more information please contact Tom Parker at (867) 873-4307.</p><p>CATEGORY NO. I – TIPPING FEE ITEMS with applicable tipping fees will NOT be picked up, such as: o Fridges, freezers, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, hot water tanks, cars, tires, residential construction waste, etc. CATEGORY NO. II – HAZARDOUS WASTE ITEMS will NOT be picked up, such as: o Batteries, paints, solvents, oils, chemicals, oil tanks, animal waste, small engines/motors, propane tanks, motor bikes, etc. CATEGORY NO. III – RECYCLABLE ITEMS will NOT be picked up, such as: o Cardboard, glass, newspaper, grass clippings, yard waste, brush, etc. o E-waste items such as computers, TV's, printers, etc.</p><p>THINGS WE PICK-UP include items such as: o Bulky items such as couches, beds, furniture, bicycles, and barbeques (no propane tanks), etc.</p><p>PLEASE PLACE ITEMS ON THE CURB WHERE REGULAR GARBAGE COLLECTION TAKES PLACE BY 7:00AM ON PICK-UP DAY.</p><p>Amnesty Week for residential drop off only, will take place from May 19th to May 25th, 2018. Amnesty Week will waive the $10.00 fee at the Solid Waste Facility but other tipping fees still apply.
