We would like to invite you to our “Kindergarten Kick-Off on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. You and your child are invited to meet and visit with the teacher and tour the Ellis Building. Please bring the Kindergarten supplies on this night. Each item should be clearly marked with your child’s name. Please comply with the following time schedule that evening: 6:00-6:15 p.m. Drop-off supplies in your child’s classroom. At 6:15 p.m., an adult sitter will take your child(ren) to the playground. Parents proceed to the Cafeteria. 6:15-6:30 p.m. Ellis Principal, will address Kindergarten parents in the Cafeteria. 6:30-7:00 p.m. Return to your child’s classroom for an Informational Meeting with your child’s teacher. At the end of the Informational Meeting, your child(ren) will rejoin you in the classroom. 7:00-8:00 p.m. Open House in the Cafeteria All Ellis students will attend school on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, 9:10 a.m. to 3:40 p.m., breakfast and lunch will be served. Latchkey services will be available, please make arrangements in advance.</p><p>The Kindergarten teachers have prepared the following supply list: Replace as needed. 1 bath towel (no adult size beach towels) for rest time 1 plastic school box 9” x 6 ½” 2 boxes of 24 crayons (no florescent colors or scented crayons) 16 small glue sticks (no liquid glue) 1 large box of tissues 1 pair of Fiskars Kid’s Scissors or Kingshead Kids Safe-T-Cut scissors with metal blades 1 school bag big enough for a pocket folder 4 pocket folders with bottom pockets 4 3-prong pocket folders – 1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow and 1 green 1 1-inch, 3-ring binder with pockets 1 pink eraser with name on it 1 pkg. Crayola brand classic colors broadtip WASHABLE markers (8 or 10 in pkg.).
