<p> Clinical Faculty Position Contact Lenses, Open Rank</p><p>The Indiana University School of Optometry seeks an outstanding clinician to advance the area of contact lenses through clinical & didactic instruction, and scholarly activities. The successful candidate should have an OD (or equivalent) degree, be eligible for an Indiana optometric license, have completed a cornea/contact lens residency or equivalent experience. Responsibilities include patient care, clinical and didactic teaching, assisting with the residency-training program, and promoting vision care services within the community. Candidates should be experienced with advanced contact lens fitting techniques, and interested in establishing Indiana University as a center of excellence within the contact lens field. Clinical faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Preference will be given to candidates with proven clinical excellence in contact lens care, and consideration given for qualities such as national recognition, teaching abilities, and leadership experience. </p><p>Indiana University is a major research University founded in 1820. It currently enrolls over 32,000 undergraduates and 7,500 graduate and professional students on the Bloomington campus with over 110,000 students in the University system. The School of Optometry has very active research and graduate programs with numerous collaborations with other disciplines within the university. The School has several major teaching clinics as well as outreach affiliations. Bloomington is a relaxed community located in a beautifully wooded and hilly area of the state where cultural and recreational opportunities abound, housing costs are low, schools are excellent, and commuting time is short.
