<p> Comhlámh Nominations Form for Board Elections 2016</p><p>The Board is the governing body of Comhlámh and the official board of directors of the organisation. The effectiveness of Comhlámh depends to a large degree on the leadership of the Board. Being a member of the Board is one of the most challenging and rewarding roles in the association, where you have the shared responsibility to contribute to the development of the organisation. </p><p>The Board should ideally reflect the diversity of the membership of the organisation, including its membership groups and, as a governing body, is involved in determining policy and strategy and providing accountability to the organisation. In particular, if you have experience that you are willing to share with us in any one of the following areas and a commitment to the values and mission of the organisation then you should consider bringing these skills to the organisation as a Board member;</p><p> International development/human rights/volunteering  Fundraising  Donor recruitment and retention  Management, organisational development  Human resources / Legal  Media and campaigns  ICT at a strategic level </p><p>We would encourage members to consider standing for election, or to approach people who would be suitable candidates to ask them to stand. Each Comhlámh membership group is encouraged to consider putting members forward for election.</p><p>Commitment required: Approx. 6/7 meetings through the year (alternating between Saturday morning and Thursday evenings), in Dublin (expenses are covered for those who have to travel) plus 1 training day.
