<p>Credit Card Debate</p><p>Assignment: We will break the class into four small groups. Two groups will be creating a powerpoint arguing the advantages of using credit cards, two groups will be creating a powerpoint arguing the advantages of not using credit cards. These presentations will be presented in class. We will have one for group and one anti group present against each other, the most persuasive argument will win the debate and get bonus points.</p><p>The following website is one place maybe to get started in your research:</p><p> http://www.themint.org/teens/credit-card-facts.html</p><p>Your group will need to find at least 2 other reference sites to use for information. At least one of these sites should be referenced during your debate either by quoting information/facts from the site, linking to the site, or just mentioning them as to where the data came from.</p><p>You should include actual facts and statistics are always helpful in making your point.</p><p>A list of your key talking points should be turned in by Thursday. These can be jotted quickly on a piece of paper with everyone in the group’s name on the sheet. You should be aiming for 5-8 key points. </p><p>Use your slideshow as effectively as possible to get viewers attention and sway their opinion. Remember that text on the slides should be minimal – 6x6 rule. Charts and pictures are always nice to look at while you are talking.</p><p>Everyone in your group is responsible to speak during your presentation. Use note cards or small pieces of paper to use for the information you plan to say to elaborate the story.</p><p>Choose one person in your group to be the designer – they will be the chief creator of the slideshow on their computer. EVERYONE SHOULD CONTRIBUTE INFORMATION. Chose one person in your group to be the leader – they will be in charge of controlling the flow of the presentation. EVERYONE WILL SPEAK DURING THE PRESENTATION. The designer and the leader should not be the same person. Part of your grade is how much you personally contributed to the group – don’t slack off!!</p>
