Geoinformation Recreation and Tourism Mapping of Frontier National Parks Tunkinskiy (Russia)

GEOINFORMATION RECREATION AND TOURISM MAPPING OF FRONTIER NATIONAL PARKS «TUNKINSKIY» (RUSSIA) AND «HUBSUGULSKIY» (MONGOLIA) L.A Plastinin, N.V. Kotelnikova, B.N. Olzoev OU VPO Irkutsk state technical university, Irkutsk

In modern Russia and the neighbouring Mongolia the recreation and tourism concern to one of the most perspective branches of recreational territories development. Thus many administrative areas of the Russian Federation and a number of administrative “aymak”’s of Mongolia actively elaborate development programs on tourism, rest and the treatments based on use of local natural, cultural, social and economic resources. Theoretical and methodological base for this purpose can be served the model of the territorial recreational system, emphasizing systematical character of communications and attitudes in interaction of service consumers (tourists) with the nature, historical and cultural values, objects of life-support (objects of reception, accommodation, movement, feed, leisure and entertainments) . Understanding of these communications and attitudes system character is a necessary condition of tourist activity efficient management. Therefore the important problem becomes a geoinformation provision of the recreation and tourism for two states border territories as far as information is the important resource of their recreational territories social and economic development. Two namely parks "Tunkinskiy", which is situated in the southwest territory of Republics Buryatiya (Russia), and neighbouring «Hubsugulskiy» («Hevsegel» - Mongolia), situated in drainage area of Hubsugulskiy lake, play special role in solving this problem. Natural and climatic conditions of these national parks are favourable for development of health-improving, sanatorium and sports and tourist activity. Application of GIS-technology in mapping of recreational and tourist resources spheres of recreational and tourist service, most full corresponds the requirements of functional zoning (maintenance of an optimum mode for the recreational use of the planned territory separate units, observance of ecological specifications, etc.). Use of geoinformation mapping principles and methods allows receiving qualitatively new opportunities of the territory information analysis. The computer system of database accumulation, and the analysis and operative representation (with computer or in the form of wall cartographical information) of the changing situation have great value. In particular, the electronic mapping of the neighbouring national parks is made in software product GIS Map 2005 (Panorama) on the basis of spatial analysis, i.e. the information is represented in the form of analytical information layers, blocks, and the subsystems (structures) chosen on a way of interaction and mutual relations of elementary objects and factors. Advantage of a new kind of national parks electronic tourist maps is use of digital topographical and landscape bases. The presented technique allows to create electronic recreational and tourist maps of national parks «Tunkinskiy» and «Hubsugulskiy» which will be used for the organization of recreational and tourist, scientific, cognitive, nature protection and ecological education activities. As a whole, the offered system of a geoinformational provision with information allows generating the transboundary recreational zone uniting two objects of tourist interests of world value, namely Lake Baikal and Lake Hubsugul.
