<p> 4-DAY diagnostic training workshop – 15 seats</p><p>Isolation, detection, identification of Xylella fastidiosa in planta and vectors</p><p>16‒19 January 2018 ‒ Anses - Angers, France.</p><p>ORGANIZERS Technical and scientific support: Anses - Plant health laboratory, CNR (Italy) Support: EPPO</p><p>Introduction</p><p>The diagnostic training workshop will be organized within the framework of the EU projects H2020 PONTE (635646), and EUPHRESCO Xylella fastidiosa . The training aims to improve the ability of the participant in carrying out reliable, isolation of Xylella fastidiosa on plants, DNA extraction and real time PCR detection on plant and insects, Immunofluorescence, identification of sub-species (MLSA/T).</p><p>Taking into account the international official diagnostic procedures for Xylella fastidiosa, as described in the EPPO standard PM7/24 (2), the training workshop will include 4-days practical sessions in the laboratory to implement these techniques. The aim of the training is to provide technical skills for laboratory personnel. A maximum of 15 participants will be admitted. </p><p>Topics to be covered Outcomes  Introduction to the current situation of  How to provide the best laboratory X. fastidiosa in the EU territory practice to carry out isolation of  Presentation of the EPPO diagnostic strains from plant, each detection protocol PM7/24 techniques and assignment of  Media making; isolation and culturing subspecies of X. fastidiosa  How to critically review the methods  Sample preparation results  DNA extraction from plant and insect  Detection approach by molecular methods and serology  Assignment to subspecies (MLSA/T)</p><p>Who should attend? 4-DAY diagnostic training workshop – 15 seats</p><p>Isolation, detection, identification of Xylella fastidiosa in planta and vectors</p><p>16‒19 January 2018 ‒ Anses - Angers, France.</p><p>The training is conceived to provide technical skills to diagnostic and quarantine laboratory technicians. A maximum of 15 participants will be admitted. The registration of maximum one representative will be accepted for each organisation. For other candidate for the same organisation, they will be on complementary list. </p><p>Venue</p><p>Anses – Plant health laboratory in Angers - 7 rue, Jean Dixméras – ANGERS (France).</p><p>Registration  Deadline: 1st of November2017 (difficulties can be encountered for hotel booking due to other big events)  Please fill in the registration form  No registration fees are due. Breaks are included for all participants and are covered by organizers. </p><p>The participants accepted for training will be notified by 15th of November2017.
