<p>Meeting Minutes for RES PTO- 10/16/2012:</p><p>Present: Virginia Frase, Patty Schehl, Beth McNicholas, Janel Hotes, Jordan Bigler, Amy Fitzgerald, Jacquie Swartz, Laura Brainard, Tracy Smith, Melanie Leatherman, and Kristine Robinson</p><p>Approval of Minutes</p><p>Principals Report: </p><p>Thanks you for a wonderful Fall Festival. RES will be sending home letters for parents of K, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders required the new state reading requirement- new initiative called Third Grade Reading Guarantee. The program is based on a program already implemented in Florida. The state is starting this with the current 2nd grade class. In two years, the Ohio Achievement tests will be taken online. Letters will be sent out notifying parents of the state changes. </p><p>Conferences are 11/1/12, Picture re-take day is 10/25/12</p><p>Treasurer's Report:</p><p>$3634.16 beginning balance Checking balance: $5739.38 Savings balance: $6192.33</p><p>Market Day:</p><p>Raised $153.50 this month</p><p>Fall Festival:</p><p>Thank you to all the volunteers- discussion was done about the time and effort that everyone put into the festival this year. </p><p>Upcoming Events:</p><p>Market Day- next pick up is 11/13 Fall Parties are 10/26/12 Right to Read is week of 11/6/12 Conference meals- This will be chaired by Jacquie Swartz and Jordan Bigler. It was decided that it would be soup and bread. </p><p>New Business:</p><p>Movie Night will be chaired by Virginia Frase. It will take place on 11/9/12 and the members voted on "Arthur's Christmas" as the movie.</p><p>Santa Shop will be chaired by Amy Fitzgerald. Set up is 12/2/12 and the shopping will be 12/3/12 to 12/6/12.</p>
