Howes Managing Director – Safety, Health and Environment Delta Air Lines, Inc. </p><p>Helen joined Delta Air Lines in April 2010 as Managing Director, Safety, Health & Environment. In this role, she is responsible for environmental and safety governance and oversight, as well as provision of technical advice to the operating divisions. One of her responsibilities is to develop and lead Delta’s climate change strategy. Prior to Delta, Helen had her own firm that provided advice on climate change and sustainability issues and before that was VP, EH&S for Exelon Corporation, a Chicago-based electric generation, transmission, and distribution company from 2003 to 2009.</p><p>She has 30 years experience in sustainable development, climate change (protocols, inventories, carbon offsets, emerging legislation), strategic planning, compliance, management systems, and stakeholder engagement.</p><p>(February 2012)</p>
