<p>Delivery Activity</p><p>DO THE CLASS MEETING BEFORE ACTIVITY: Assignment: Going to give an impromptu speech on Thursday. To prepare for it your homework is to write down 20 things you know about or have life experience on.</p><p>Ex. Me 1. Travel 2. England 3. Communication 4. Public Speaking 5. Forensics 6. Southern California 7. Friendship</p><p>Fortune Cookie Impromptus</p><p>Give each student a fortune cookie and have them make a speech out of their fortune. Give them one minute of prep time (while the rest of the class is silent) then have them speak for one minute. The student is allowed to bring up their list they constructed previously and use the list to help them with their speech. After each person speaks as a class assess their speech and give them ideas for improvement. The focus of all comments is to improve delivery.</p>
