CA: The third annual Carmel-By-The-Sea Concours on the Avenue was held August 11, 2009 as part of the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This year’s Master Of Ceremonies was Ed Justice, Jr. presiding over the Concours On The Avenue portion of the 10-day collector car extravaganza for the third time. The Concours on the Avenue focuses on vehicles usually not seen in the Pebble Beach event. It features multi-marque classes from 1940 through 1973, with Porsche from 1948 and Farrari from 1947, both running through 1989. Over 175 cars will be displayed, with 15 major awards presented. The Carmel-By-The- Sea Concours On the Avenue supports the Carmel Foundation in their work to provide a variety of services to Monterey Peninsula seniors.
