<p> Project Graduation 2017 Meeting Minutes</p><p>September 12, 2016</p><p>Meeting called to order at 6:38 pm</p><p>Attendees: Amanda Overstreet, Sharon Ruiz, Karen Austin, Susan High, Mindy Hahn, Monica VonWaaden, Kanisha Patel, Tracy Palombi, Danette Twining, Toni Clark, Anna Elman, Stephanie Price, and Angela Khurana. </p><p>Monthly meetings are the 2nd Monday of each month. The Oct 10th meeting will be “PG17 Open House” during the Kendra Scott fundraiser. This will give other parents the opportunity to come by, ask questions, volunteer, and see what we’re all about. </p><p>Monica V made a motion to approve last month’s minutes, Susan H seconded. Meeting minutes approved. </p><p>Amanda O (President) - passed out budget at the last meeting, nothing much changed. Susan motioned to approve the budget, Monica seconded, budget approved. </p><p>**Need a fundraising chair** </p><p>Kendra Scott - gave us some dates that weren’t great. Columbus Day, another date during T’giving and another on an away football game. Decided on Oct 10 (Columbus day). </p><p>Per Amanda, GoFundMe takes 30% so we are talking about not using them. Talked about other ways to solicit “free” money: </p><p>We are on Twitter, FB, Instagram as of right now. Remind 101 was discussed. We should use this hashtag on all social media: #whsprojectgrad2017</p><p>Tracy Palombi - agreed to do the video. Monica mentioned there are a lot of distractions during the showing of the video. It’s a lot of work, don’t know if it’s worth the investment of time. Discussion was had about whether to continue to do it or not. Tracy will look it over and consider the project.</p><p>Karen Austin (treasurer) - gave her report. </p><p>Angela Khurana (decorations) - all going well, not much to report.</p><p>Anna Elman (website)- Per Amanda: website cleaned up, still being worked on. Amanda asks that we all be active and promote the event as much as we can. </p><p>Danette Twining (food) - no updates at this time, too early. </p><p>Page 1 of 3 Project Graduation 2017 Meeting Minutes</p><p>Toni Clark (Restaurant Give Backs) - next fundraiser is Dream Dinners on Oct 12. For $34.99, customer gets to pick 3 meals that will feed 3 people each and they will give us $10 back for each. Anything sold out of the freezer will earn us 10% back. </p><p>Nov 17th is California Pizza Kitchen, all day. </p><p>Mod Pizza hard to get a response. </p><p>Blaze Pizza will give back 20%. </p><p>Suggested Torchy’s, Bush’s, Pot Belly</p><p>Elizabeth Barrett mentioned hosting a dinner event at her house. We will need to think about that - who would go, how many would go, etc. </p><p>Kanisha Patel (Taste of Asia) – still forming their team. Taste of Asia is March 3rd. </p><p>Susan High, Mindy Hahn (on-line action) – setting up auction site now. Auction site will take 5% of sales, checks do not have fee taken out. We will get paid via PayPal. In the past, we have used school groups like Pacesetters and NHS to help distribute the won items and deliver items that weren’t picked up. Dates of auction are Nov 22-29. </p><p>Monica Von Waaden (underwriting) - Karen Larrea stepped aside so no longer on the committee. Monica explained how the underwriting blast and requests will occur. Sept 22nd set to meet at Monica’s house to stuff envelopes to solicit businesses. 10905 Bristol Ridge Court. </p><p>Raffle (Monica V) - starts on Monday Sept 19, tkts will be available for open house on 21st. Letter to go out soon for selling the batch of raffle tickets. Phone-a-thon tentatively scheduled for Oct 17th. Danette will ask if we can use Coach Wood’s office for phone-a- thon.
