<p> Meeting Minutes</p><p>Oct 4, 2017</p><p>Present:</p><p>Kathy, Peg, Rita, Brandon, Bev, Father Randy, and Becky</p><p>Opening Prayer by Kathy.</p><p>Old Business</p><p>• Service Project idea. It would be nice to have the children create and place colored ribbons/markers in the hymnals. These will mark different sections of the hymnal to help parishioners located areas such as the order of Mass, the readings etc. No discussion. 10/4: No interest or time to follow through with this. Closed.</p><p>• Organizing basement storage and Liturgy Closet. Peg and Kathy will plan and then set up a date for all of us to help. Liturgy closet: new dry wall, new/more shelves, purged, and reorganized----beautiful. No discussion about basement storage.10/4: Liturgy Closet is beautiful and organized. Keep open. Will discuss at a later date to clean the basement.</p><p>• Manner of Communion-</p><p>• It has been requested by the Bishop to offer Communion in the kneeling position.</p><p>• 10/4: Starting weekend of 10/7 and 8, parishioners will be able to receive the Body of Christ while kneeling. The kneeler will be by the servers. The Eucharistic Minister to the right of Father will serve them. Father will announce this option at Mass this weekend. Kathy will send out detailed directions to the Eucharistic Ministers.</p><p>• Advent by Candle Light-</p><p>• 10/4: Kathy feels she will be able to Host the Advent by Candle Light. </p><p>New Business</p><p> i. New Discussion about activities in gathering space led to discussion about Fall Festival. Many of us hearing complaints about Fall Festival. Have concerns. Discussed submitting a survey to the parishioners to find out what they want, communicating with Fall Festival Committee, and Parish Council. • Reviewed the 4th weekend Mass readings for Advent</p><p>• Focus ideas: Invite, comfort, House of Bread</p><p>• Discussed ideas for Christmas/Sunday Masses.</p><p>• Idea for changing Advent Environment and keeping simple. Move the Nativity Scene pieces around the church, moving closer to the manger as we get closer to Christmas.</p><p>Next Meeting Nov 7 at 630 </p>
