A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.</p><p>◦ TECHNOLOGY AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO SOCIETY (You will closely examine how the NS-5 robots [NOT SONNY] are represented to us (appearance, behaviour, mannerisms), making notes whilst viewing and then shape your notes to explain what fears and anxieties they reflect in terms of society’s view of science and technology).</p><p>◦ THE VILLAIN (You will closely examine who the ‘villain’ is in the film and how we are shown the ‘villain’, making notes whilst viewing and then shape your notes to explain what ideas are associated with the identified ‘villain(s)’).
