<p> SPRING STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS</p><p>The fall Student Council elections will be held on Friday, January 15th in your child’s classroom. Each class will elect two students to be its representatives on the council. The responsibilities of a class representative are to attend all meetings and report back to classrooms, report class feedback to the council, and conduct him/herself with academic integrity and exemplary conduct.</p><p>If your child does not win their class election, they are eligible to be a member-at-large. The members-at-large have the same rights and privileges as the class representatives, except they don’t make student council announcements in the class. The representatives and members-at-large will elect the student council officers at their first meeting. </p><p>Representatives will serve until the end of the semester. Meetings will be held twice a month on Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. in Room 15. Mrs. Novak will serve as the Student Council Advisor. </p><p>Please take the time to discuss with your child whether he/she would like to run for representative of his/her class. All student council candidates must make a speech to their class on why they would be a good student council member. If you agree, please sign and return the following permission slip.
