<p> 2018 Century Yearbook Newfane High School One Panther Drive Newfane, NY 14108</p><p>TO: Parents and Students in the Class of 2018</p><p>FROM: Ms. Wendy Geise, Ext. 4108, and Mrs. Jean Passuite, Ext. 4133, Yearbook Advisors</p><p>SUBJECT: Senior Portraits for the 2018 Yearbook & Senior Quotes</p><p>We are writing to remind you that we will need to receive your senior yearbook picture no later than October 27, 2017. If you have not made plans to have your picture taken yet, please do not delay! Most photographers need 2-3 weeks to get your photos back to you.</p><p>Yearbook can accept prints as well as digital pictures either on CD, flash drive, or e-mail to [email protected]. When sending a digital picture, please do not crop or alter the picture, often changing the original can reduce the quality and make it difficult to use. Also, make sure that your picture is in JPEG format and at least 300 dpi. It is really important to send us the picture in the correct format. Please DO NOT use pictures taken by phones or email your picture to us from a phone, they are not compatible with our yearbook software. Suggestions for yearbook poses include: a plain, neutral background; head and shoulder shots only; avoid hands, hats, pets, flowers, etc.; no soft focus poses. Due to a recent trend away from head and shoulder shots, we want to stress how important it is to submit a head and shoulder shot only for the yearbook. We will not accept anything else. Remember, the photo you give us is what you see in the book, we do not retouch photos after we receive them! Please consider taking this letter with you to your photography appointment.</p><p>We ask that each student personally confirm with Mrs. Passuite that their senior portrait has been received and that it is the portrait that they wish to have published in the yearbook. Also, each senior should diligently check the morning announcements daily if they arrive late to school for any reason in case a yearbook related announcement was made in the morning. </p><p>Again, we need your photo by October 27, 2017. If you have any questions, you may contact Mrs. Passuite at the high school, 778-6888, Ext. 4133. Please make arrangements to have your photo taken soon if you have not already done so. We would love to include you in the 2018 Century Yearbook!</p><p>This year our seniors have decidedwe are asking for Senior Quotes to appear in the yearbook. The quote may be original or accredited to another person. If the quote chosen is not an original work, the original author must be credited. Please understand Mrs. Geise and Mrs. Passuite have final say in quotes that are allowed to appear in our 2018 Century Yearbook. Please limit your quote to a maximum of 40 words.
