<p> OPEN AIR BURNING SEASON 2015</p><p>Open air burning season for domestic tree trimming begins on January 15, 2015 and runs through May 1, 2015.</p><p>A written permit is required from the Fire Department at 10 N. Main St., and may be obtained Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 2:00pm and on Saturdays, beginning January 17th, from 9:00am – Noon.</p><p>Permit fee is $10.00 for the season</p><p>Due to recent changes in federal Air Quality Standards, the MassDEP now will only allow activation of burning permits for 1 day at a time based on weather conditions.</p><p>You must activate your permit each day you want to burn by calling 413-323-7571 during normal business hours (Mon.-Fri. 8am-2pm and Sat. 9am-12pm).</p><p>Renewal requests left on the answering machine are invalid.</p><p>For more information, please contact the Fire Department at 323-7571.</p>
