The class is designed to prepare the participants for the Certified Welding Inspector Course. This Prep course will provide participants with an overview of the welding codebook D1.1, welding safety, discontinuities, welding and metallurgy, methods of non-destructive testing, basic math, and metric conversion. Classroom instruction will be delivered primarily through Power Point presentation and multimedia. The AWS D1.1 and Certification Manual for Welding Inspector, (published by the American Welding Society) will be used along with 7 other publications. The course is scheduled for Apprenticeship Instructors and I have permission to allow rank and file Journeymen Ironworkers to attend if they are a member in good standing and purchase the materials needed for this prep class. </p><p>Required books that you must purchase are available at a discounted rate of $330.00. These books are not in our inventory and MUST be ordered in advance so they can be shipped out in time for the class. A Money Order made out to the Ironworkers Apprenticeship Program is needed for your books to be ordered (No cash, personal checks will be accepted). If you are a Journeyman Ironworker with current dues paid up, and are interested in attending this class, please contact me asap by faxing this form to my office. My contact info is on the letterhead of this flyer. The money order is to be sent to my Vacaville office in order for the books to be ordered.
