Meeting participants were invited to introduce themselves and share their affiliation. Review and Approval of Minutes Minutes from March 15, 2015 were not approved. There was no quorum. Chairman’s Report Chairman James Lafferty started the meeting by suggesting the council meet every other month and he proceeded with a verbal vote. It was unanimous. Chairman Lafferty will send out an email for everyone on the council to vote on since at this time there wasn’t a quorum. He is expecting a response to the email by the July meeting. If approved, the every other month meeting would start in January 2016. There was some discussion of maybe having the meeting teleconferenced. </p><p>The 2nd CIT training for law enforcement started Monday. It is 34 officers from various departments around the state. This will bring a total of over 60 officers that have been trained. The plan is to have at least 1 CIT trained officer on each shift. Director’s Report Deputy Director Melissa Smith stated there wasn’t much new to report on since the last meeting. She reported that everything is moving along and the department is proceeding with the PROMISE program. Deputy Director Melissa Smith says the Provider Relations department with Tom Johnson and Bryan Gordon is presented numerous training events to build up qualified providers. She then introduced Bryan Gordon to go over the training aspects of PROMISE.</p><p>Bryan Gordon, Community Relations Officer reported that he and Provider Relations Director Tom Johnson are ensuring the treatment providers are trained for PROMISE. They have been to ACTs, ICMs, and group homes. It is a requirement of CMS that anyone providing PROMISE services be trained. He believes that at this point most providers have been trained. Bryan states that there will be follow-up training in the future. Deputy Director Melissa Smith said both Tom and Bryan are working diligently to achieve their training goal.</p><p>Deputy Director Smith reports that the RFPs are out for new outpatient services in relations to PROMISE. Some of these services are nursing services, respite care, personal care attendants, supported employment, and non-medical transport. PROMISE2 allows for more services to be billable to Medicaid. She introduced Carlyle Hooff to go over the housing services.</p><p>Carlyle Hooff, Housing Director states three years ago DSHA and DHSS entered a partnership to apply for a Federal HUD grant for a section 811 </p>
