Hard copies will be made available at Franklin County Local Libraries and the Outpatient Department of Novant Franklin Medical Center. The annual report highlights progress made in addressing Franklin County’s priority health issues, as identified in the 2011 Community Health Assessment. These issues are: Access to Care and Physical Activity and Nutrition (including obesity and chronic disease). </p><p>The report features efforts by both the Franklin County Public Health Department and community organizations. It also shares relationships between the priority health issues and the underlying factors that contribute to them, along with the progress that has been made towards improving the stated health priorities. </p><p>“This State of the County Health Report is a brief of the tremendous amount of the work being done and to be done in Franklin County. As with most communities, Franklin County faces significant healthcare challenges, challenges that must be addressed by the entire community not just one organization or entity.
