When successful it will be extended (CIPAC/2813/R).

CIPAC 25th meeting, June 1981 in Gembloux

Mr. Van Rossum presented the report of the collaborative study (CIPAC 2908). Mr. Wayne asked why a reversed phase system had been chosen. This was done because due to the low solubility of the compound only few solvents were suitable and because the water content of the solvents was so critical. The amount of internal standard solution could not be reduced because of the low solubility of diflubenzuron. Decision The HPLC method for difubenzuron, technical concentrates and formulations, CIPAC 2908 was adopted as full CIPAC method.

CIPAC 41st meeting, June 1997 in Roskilde

There is a HPLC method from CIPAC P81 to be republished in CIPAC H. Uniroyal wants to move from internal to external standardisation and to change the solvents. The company was informed that a new collaborative study would be necessary. Uniroyal will reflect on this.

CIPAC 49th meeting, June 2005 in Utrecht

Mr H. Pijst proposed to extend the existing CIPAC method for TC and WP to four new formulations: GR, two SCs and TB. It is proposed to carry out a specificity test as well as introduce a method modification for sample preparation and to introduce an internal standard. Mr Vaagt asked if the method extension will cover all formulations, including those used for locust control. The answer of the company was that the intention is to include it. Mr Feyerabend proposed to check the internal standard method against the external standard method. It was proposed to carry out the small scale trial. Decision The extension of the scope of CIPAC method 339 (CIPAC/4461) to GR, SC and TB formulations was accepted as provisional method.

CIPAC 50th meeting, June 2006 in Geneva

Decision The extension of the scope of CIPAC method 339 (CIPAC/4461) to GR, SC and TB formulations was accepted as full method

CIPAC 0339 1
