<p> JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p>POSITION TITLE: Head Alpine Ski Coach</p><p>REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics</p><p>PRIMARY FUNCTION: </p><p>The Head Alpine Ski Coach is a 6-month, part-time position and is responsible for the overall management of the men and women’s alpine ski program. </p><p>AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:</p><p>1. Head Alpine Ski Coach a. Head Coach: Direct, organize and administer all aspects of the men and women’s alpine ski program. i. Organize and administer training and race strategies, schedule races, manage budget and travel arrangements. </p><p> b. Recruitment: Actively recruit qualified student-athletes. i. Attend races regularly; meet with perspective student-athletes on- and off- campus; maintain contacts with coaches and ski directors. </p><p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None </p><p>CONTACTS: Students, Parents, Alumni, Donors, General Public, Administration, Faculty, Staff, Prospective Student- Athletes, coaches.</p><p>EDUCATION: Essential: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science</p><p>EXPERIENCE: Essential: Collegiate level ski participation </p><p>Desirable: Coaching experience.</p><p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: - Superior knowledge in alpine skiing. - Must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines. - Ability to manage/communicate effectively with student-athletes, administrators and student work staff members. - Knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regulations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move/lift up to 50 pounds.</p><p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Typical office setting; travel to and coverage at practices, events and recruiting functions.</p><p>WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time Equivalent (FTE): .30 Term: 6-Month, October 1-March 31 Shift: Regular evening and weekend hours, i.e. recruitment site/event visits; games.</p><p>APPROVAL: Ryan Bowles, Athletic Director</p><p>DATE: June 27, 2016</p>
