Happy April Fools! No, Really, That S Not a Joke

Notes & Quotes April 1, 2015

Happy April Fools! No, really, that’s not a joke. So, full disclosure: two weeks ago, I had a lot of people raving about the choir’s rendition of Psalm III, and I would say ‘thanks very much’, and I meant it, but there was a little part of me that wanted to say ‘if you liked that, then wait ‘till next week’…And of course, you delivered a very powerful presentation of the Martin, and there were more positive comments. Thank you for making that special! (and again, ‘if you liked that, then you’ll probably like what we have this week…’) I am very excited for my first Easter here at Central. There’s a great energy in the air as so many are contributing some of those little touches that all add up beautifully. There’s a lot of detail to the announcements this week, but as we proceed through the work of ministry, let’s keep reminding ourselves of the privilege to serve Jesus by sharing talents to tell His story. We share our time, talent, and enjoyment, and ultimately, lives are changed. Wow.

For Your Information: - Being on time for all our event is very important this week. - Your Music: We will use the black 3-ring binders for Thursay/Easter Sunday. o If you left your music here, it will be in order already. o If you took your music home, you are responsible for putting it in order BEFORE we start rehearsal at 6:30. There is a packet in your box and a sheet with the order. A checkmark indicates a piece you already have, and put the yellow divider between the Thursday music and the Sunday music. - For Rehearsal on Apr. 1: o We start at 6:30 and end at 8:30. Brass will join us from 7-8. o There won’t be any EquipCentral dinner. o There will be childcare from 6:30-8:30. - For Maundy Thursday (with string quartet): Choir call is 6:30 for the 7pm service. - For Easter Sunday (with brass and timpani): o Call time is 8am in the choir room. We line up by no later than 8:10. o We will remain in the chancel for the duration of the service.

Rehearsal Repertoire Bring your black 3-ring binder with all your music in order please! (by the way, I’m loving this music, and I hope you are too!)

Quote: “Rise, heart; thy Lord is risen. Who takes thee by the hand, that thou likewise with him may’st rise: That as his death calcined thee to dust, His life may make thee fold, and much more, Just.” George Herbert
