<p> Call for Papers Call for Papers Call for Papers </p><p>Port Acadie – the vibrant, new, international research journal in Acadian Studies – invites articles, creative work and shorter papers on any subject relating to Acadians/Cajuns and their communities.</p><p>Port Acadie is a forum for the latest research into issues critical to Acadian and Cajun communities – issues in education, language, culture, economics, history and the arts. The Editorial Advisory Board brings together internationally recognised scholars with strong ties to the Maritimes and/or Louisiana. </p><p>The Spring 2001 inaugural issue features groundbreaking articles by Phyllis Dalley, Suzanne Allard, Joseph Dicks, Denis Bourque, Robert Viau, Manon Laparra and Jo-Anne Elder, with shorter works by Robert Pichette, André Maindron, Ralph Surette, Paul Émile d'Entremont, Glenn Moulaison, Jean Wilson, François Gaudet, Beverley Matherne, Stanley Kunitz, and André Muise.</p><p>The editors are looking for scholarship that explores the historical and contemporary rapport between the Acadian peoples and the First Nations; economic analyses focussed on Acadian and Cajun communities; articles and commentaries exploring legal issues, the World Congresses, archaeology, literature, history and the arts; and papers in the social sciences, linguistics and pedagogy, disciplines which frame the contemporary discourses of cultural survival and continuity. </p><p>Port Acadie : Revue interdisciplinaire en études acadiennes / An Interdisciplinary Review in Acadian Studies, Université Sainte-Anne, Church Point, NS, Canada B0W 1M0; phone (902) 769-2114; [email protected].
