<p>June 4, 2013</p><p>Greetings!</p><p>The Urban League Guild is the Heart and Soul of the Urban League of Nebraska. The Guild will be sponsoring “Men Who Cook” on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Omaha Public Schools Teacher Administrative Center (TAC), 5th floor cafeteria, 3215 Cuming Street. We would like you to be at the TAC building at 12:00 noon to set-up.</p><p>Proceeds from this event will be used to support the Guild activities that support other women activities in Omaha as well as the Urban League. We continue to be an empowering voice in the community advocating for economic self-reliance, parity, power, civil rights, and equal opportunity for all.</p><p>We anticipate attracting many food tasters across the city that anxiously waits to sample the different dishes prepared by the mighty men cookers of Omaha.</p><p>The Urban League of Nebraska Guild is requesting you to be one of our cooks. This means, you have the opportunity to show your stuff by preparing one of your favorite dishes for fifty (50) individuals to sample. </p><p>We ask that you assist in selling tickets to your family, co workers, and friends. Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $7.50 for children 12 and under. Checks can be made out and mailed to: Urban League of Nebraska Guild, 3040 Lake Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68111. ALL ticket money is to be turned in by Wednesday, July 12, 2013.</p><p>Please complete the attached form so that we know what dish you will be preparing. All participants will be provided aprons, table cloth, and utensils.
