<p> Independent UK suppliers of Thiers-Issard Straight razors and accessories</p><p>Thanks for downloading this short guide – it should help you make some basic choices about how you want your custom razor(s) to look when they’re finished.</p><p>It’s worth taking a little time over the options available as this is a long-term investment as, with a reasonable amount of care, your purchase should last quite literally a lifetime – or longer!</p><p>So here are the main options available to you for your Thiers-Issard custom razor or razor set:</p><p>1. Blade type: do you want a heavier grind, say ¼ or ½ hollow, or a fine fully hollow ground piece? 2. Blade depth: currently available in 5/8, 6/8 and 7/8. 3. Blade steel: will this be the new Carbonsong C135 – or an ‘historic’ blade? Some steels are only available in certain grinds. 4. Blade finish: Both sides satin, one satin one mirror-polished or both mirror polished? 5. Blade spine decoration: Plain, or one of those pictured on our website at this page - http://www.thiers-issard.co.uk/7-daysetcommissions.html . Do you want a name or date engraved on the spine – again an example can be seen on the above page. 6. Blade decoration: this can be laser-engraving or gold-washing, again perhaps with your name or a motto of your choice. 7.
