If you are a Magistral student you will be considered simultaneously for the Dean of Education, Jimmar, Poulter scholarships and Lidstone (if available).</p><p>DEAN OF EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP (#1960) JIMMAR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN EDUCATION (#1982) MARY ELIZABETH SIMPSON SCHOLARSHIP (#489) DONALD & ELLEN POULTER SCHOLARSHIP (#2007) JOHN FRANCIS LIDSTONE SCHOLARSHIP (#1297) – NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL 2017</p><p>Note: Students can be awarded more than one of these awards, but cannot receive the same award more than once during a given degree program. For example: If a doctoral student were awarded a Dean of Education Scholarship after applying in 2015-2016, he/she can reapply in 2016-2017, but will only be considered for the Jimmar, Lidstone, Poulter and Simpson Scholarships. Also, past awardees were successful due to: 1) a strong student statement; 2) CV; 3) high gpa.</p><p>Please indicate here whether you have won any of these awards previously in this or a previous degree (please provide the name of the scholarship and year of the award: </p><p>AWARD CRITERIA: These awards will be given in recognition of Magistral or Doctoral students (as applicable to the award) who have demonstrated high academic achievement and who have made substantial contributions to the field in the area in which they are studying. Substantial contributions will be judged in terms of both (1) impact on the field in which they are working and (2) scholarly contributions.</p><p>ELIGIBILITY 1. To be eligible for the scholarships, applicants must be enrolled in the Faculty of Education at UBCV. 2. Students must be full-time graduate students. Magistral students on the part-time fee payment schedule (Schedule B) are not eligible to apply. 3. Students must have been officially registered as a UBCV Faculty of Education graduate student in the 2016 Winter Terms 1 & 2. Students who are On Leave, or On Financial Hold are not eligible to apply. 4. Graduate students must not be expecting to graduate in November 2016, and must be registered in the 2016 Winter Terms 1 & 2.
