<p> CULTURAL AWARENESS – STUDENT HANDOUT</p><p>Directions: Below are the steps to complete the poster board, PowerPoint, and paper for the cultural awareness project. Read each of them carefully, so that you meet all the requirements.</p><p>Poster Board</p><p> Title with the name of your country.  Picture of the country flag.  Pictures of cities within the country, famous landmarks, statues, bridges, tourist attractions, and anything else you can find that is relevant to the country.  Labels with information under them (you must have at least 4): o Religious Beliefs o Education o Foods o Living Arrangements o Holidays o Language o Economy o Entertainment o Business Practices o Weather o Anything else that is relevant to the country’s culture.</p><p>PowerPoint</p><p> Title with the name of your country and the names of the members of your group.  Picture of the country flag.  Pictures of cities within the country, famous landmarks, statues, bridges, tourist attractions, and anything else you can find that is relevant to the country.  Individual slides that cover the following information: o Religious Beliefs o Education o Foods o Living Arrangements o Holidays o Language o Economy o Entertainment o Business Practices o Weather o Anything else that is relevant to the country’s culture. ***OVER*** Paper</p><p> Title page with the name of your country, and the names of the members of your group.  Paragraphs that cover the following information (use headings): o Religious Beliefs o Education o Foods o Living Arrangements o Holidays o Language o Economy o Entertainment o Business Practices o Weather o Anything else that is relevant to the country’s culture.  Parentheses references at the end of the sentence when you use words from a website that is not your own (see examples below):</p><p>Web Page with Title “The Atmosphere of Venus”</p><p>The atmosphere of Venus is mostly carbon dioxide, 96.5% by volume (The Atmosphere of Venus). </p><p>Web Page Written by Author</p><p>According to John Doe, “The atmosphere of Venus is mostly carbon dioxide, 96.5% by volume (Doe).”</p><p> All of the websites that you used must be cited in the correct format (I want the names of the websites and not www.google.com or www.yahoo.com) (see examples below).</p><p>Citing with no Author or Date</p><p>The Atmosphere of Venus.
