<p> Job Description</p><p>Position Title: Marketing Content Manager Dept: Marketing and Member Communications Travel: Up to 10% Reports to: Sr. Director of Member Outreach Status: Exempt Salary Grade: 6</p><p>Summary Description:</p><p>The LYRASIS Marketing and Content Manager is responsible for the management of social properties-including but not limited to, sites such as FACEBOOK, TWITTER, YouTube, Google+, Instagram and LinkedIn. This involves responding to comments, questions and concerns as well as proactively engaging and establishing relationships with community members. Additionally, the Marketing and Content Manager will be responsible for identifying influencers and supporters, spotting trends, moderating comments and working to set a tone that is inviting to all.</p><p>Job Responsibilities: </p><p> Proactively, reactively and opportunistically respond to members according to our guidelines.</p><p> Develop social media content to use in postings and for our blog. (www.lyrasisnow.org)</p><p> Manage update to social media properties, respond to comments and creates a community of inclusion.</p><p> Marry culture and interests of our member community through always ready content development.</p><p> Find creative ways to use social media to help build our membership and interest in LYRASIS as a thought leader in the library, archive and museum space.</p><p> Monitor and respond to negative feedback.</p><p> Exhibit a clear understanding of what is valuable and meaningful for our member community along with relevance to the industry at large.</p><p> Develop internal policies, documentation and training for social media for LYRASIS staff.</p><p> Analyze the online conversation to develop strategies and increase engagement with video and images.</p><p> Create content for submission to industry publications.( Library Journal, PLA, Information Today etc.)</p><p> Support and Edit internal writing by LYRASIS staff.</p><p> Work closely with Membership Coordinator.</p><p>File: 06331714de521e489c0018503742eba9.doc Page: 1 (continued) JOB DESCRIPTION 4/9/2018  Analyze community insights and spot trends (in-house and industry wide).</p><p> Member of the Marketing Communication team.</p><p>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: </p><p> The candidate will have 2-5 years’ of experience with social media and writing.</p><p> Have exceptional writing skills: capacity to create in depth content that is grammatically correct along with being creative and engaging.</p><p> Basic understanding of SEO best practices involving social media, including proper use of links, images and metadata.</p><p> Experience managing online communities like Facebook, Twitter, etc. and blogs. </p><p> Ability to monitor and evaluate online traffic patterns and make corrections that encourage growth.</p><p> Be proactive and highly motivated to explore new things and bring a high level of energy while working well within a tight team environment. </p><p> Be detail oriented and able to focus on the larger picture.</p><p> Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. </p><p>Perferred Experience: </p><p> Highly desired ability to create videos for marketing and training purposes.</p><p> Have a basic understanding of how the organization can benefit from participating on paid sites, new free social sites, and how to leverage our limited media buys.</p><p> Project management skills a plus.</p><p> Understand the role of social media in our organization and communication mix.</p><p> Possess a solid understanding of how to drive member engagement.</p><p>Page: 2 (continued) JOB DESCRIPTION 4/9/2018  Provide sound counsel and be comfortable providing editorial and response recommendations to LYRASIS staff who are writing/contributing.</p><p>LYRASIS reserves the right to alter the position overview, with or without notice to the employee.
